Founded by Susie Zahratka, Yoga Pants Bakery is located in Lauderdale, Minnesota. I just love the name of her bakery, don’t you?
The beginning of her business started when her husband requested croissants for his birthday dinner. I don’t know about you, but I would have bought the croissants. Not Susie, she decided that she was going to make them. Croissants are not an easy thing to make, but she was successful her first time. She started exploring different options and making them for others, and people started requesting different kinds. Some of the options she explored were ancient grains, sourdough, and gluten-free. The business has grown, and she not only offers croissants, but also breads, caramel rolls, and pastries, regular or gluten-free items. She also has gluten-free vegan cupcakes.
We had the opportunity to try the chocolate covered gluten-free croissants. Susie suggested warming them in the oven for a few minutes before enjoying. Enjoy them we did! Both hubby and I decided a scoop or two of ice cream would be great with them next time, organic of course!
Susie has a passion for her business, and it shows in the quality of the ingredients she uses. All her products are clearly labelled so you know exactly what you are getting: what ingredients are organic, non GMO, etc.
I believe the greatest attribute of Yoga Pants Bakery is Susie’s willingness to cater to people’s specific dietary needs without sacrificing taste, which can be especially tough for gluten-free items.

I had had the pleasure of tasting her yummy gluten free items (her GF CROISSANTS are WONDERFULLY sinful!) many, many times…and will order again! Thanks for filling a void in so many ways! 🙂
Thank you for sharing. The croissants are wonderful.
