As 2019 comes to a close, I review which blog posts were the most popular. This year, two of the three were recipes. I hope to be adding more recipes in 2020. I am working on taking family favorites and “healthifying” these recipes. If you have a favorite recipe but have removed it from your diet due to health reasons, send me a copy and let’s see if we can “healthify” it!

Top Three Posts for 2019

The most viewed post for 2019 was “Fermented Foods: Curtido“. This is a recipe post for making a great flavored sauerkraut. Since this is our household’s favorite flavor of sauerkraut, we rarely are without a jar of it! If you are thinking about adding fermented foods to your diet, they can have tremendous healing properties. Check out the recipe here.

The second most popular post for 2019 was another recipe – “Lemon, Pepper, Turmeric Salmon Cakes“. This is a recipe that we have quite regularly as it is very simple to make and super yummy. Adding more cold water fish to your diet provides omega-3 fatty acids and other vitamins and minerals. Check out the recipe here.

The third most viewed post for 2019 was one from my series “What’s in Your Food?” – the one about  guar gum. This has been a fun series to write. Not that I like to find out all the negative things in our food, but I hope it is empowering you to make wise choices for your health. You can find that post here.

Well that’s a wrap for 2019. I hope you have enjoyed the various posts throughout the year. I look forward to sharing more fun and interesting topics in 2020.

Be blessed and be a blessing,

Heather
