Throughout my blog posts, I share the importance of investing in your health through diet, exercise, and spiritual avenues. Humans consist of a body, soul, and spirit; each area needs to be nourished and provided the tools to flourish. I focus a lot on the diet as I believe it is our foundation of health. If our body does not have the right “tools” to stay healthy, diseases of all kinds can get a foot hold. It is much easier to avoid or limit these diseases than to deal with them once they have that foot hold. If you would like an inspiring book to read, Cooked by Michael Pollan is great.
Getting back in our kitchens is the first place to start. For some this will be easy, for others it may be terrifying. For others, they may even ask “where is the kitchen again?” I know that last question sounds funny, but there are many individuals out there that the only kitchen appliance they are familiar with is the microwave! I want to share an opportunity with you to help to introduce you to your kitchen and ultimately, invest in your health and the health of your loved ones. I shared about this program a couple of years ago, and I highly recommend it. The program is offered through the Academy of Culinary Nutrition.
This is a 14-week program that begins in September. Some highlights of the program include:
- Food is at the core of the teaching
- Professional certification if you choose that option
- Applied learning made delicious
- Live what you are learning
- You will succeed
Whether you want to become certified or whether you want to learn your way around the kitchen and invest in your health, there are different levels to choose from.
The founder, Meghan Telpner, is inspiring and fun. Yes, it is important to have fun in the kitchen too! General registration for the program will open in April and you can check it out here.
There is a one-of-a-kind mini training if you would like a taste of what culinary nutrition is all about. Guess what, this one is 100% FREE; just click the image for the class and you can check it out.
Thank you for following along and do check out this program as a way to invest in your health.
Be blessed and be a blessing,
Heather
